Hawaiian Chieftain

65-foot Square Topsail Ketch

Built in 1988

Built from a steel hull, Chieftain's modern construction is well hidden by her traditional sail plan and above-decks furnishings. Her long bowsprit increases her 65-foot length on deck to 103 feet overall. She was based in Sausalito for several years, was sold to an East Coast owner and sailed there for a couple years, and is now back on the West Coast under the ownership of the Grays Harbor Historical Seaport.
